The main research and teaching of the Department of Instructional Technology & Media is concerned with the question “How to learn with new media?” and covers the following fields of study:
- Instructional design for new media The main question here is: “How to design and develop software in a didactically optimal way?”
- Instructional design in teacher-centered teaching, e.g. in school classes. In this context the central question is: “In which way can lecturers use new media in their classroom?”
- The combination of the two fields. The well-considered mix that combines the various new media with face to face teaching, the so-called “Blended Learning” and its didactical coordination.
